Botox is used to help relax the facial muscles and make lines and wrinkles less obvious.
A Botox injection may only be administered by a registered and trained doctor, as it is a prescription-only procedure.
What is Botox?
Botox injections are best known as a group of medications that use various forms of botulinum toxin to only temporarily paralyse muscle activity. This toxin is produced by microbes that cause the medical condition botulism, a type of food poisoning. This toxin has been processed and stabilized for medical use.
The treatment is a non-surgical procedure that smooths out deep persistent lines, which have developed over time. The treatment consists of a few injections, that relaxes the muscles that cause the deep lines, and is valid for up to 4 months.
Dramatic Results with Botox
The results are visible within days and are quite dramatic. You will need several injections in a specific area. Over time our skin loses collagen that gives our skin the elasticity and because of that, deep lines and permanent grooves tend to form in those areas.
Smooth out Wrinkles
Botox smooths out the wrinkles and prevent that the muscle to contract, to form the groove/lines again.
The injections can take up to 2 weeks to show the full effect, and will last for 3 – 4 months.
Botox is one of the easiest, quickest and most effective treatments available.

The concept of liposuction is actually surprisingly simple. It is a surgical technique that improves the body’s contour by removing excess fat between the skin and the muscle.
The very safe and successful tumescent technique is used for the liposuction. A local anaesthetic is administered in the target area. With our equipment the unwanted fat cells between the skin and the muscle are removed. A small incision are made and a suction pipe is pushed to the location of excess body fat.
Liposuction is not a substitute for a healthy diet nor is it useful for generalised weight reduction. Although this seems obvious, I mention it because patients may expect localised fat removal to result in a dramatic weight loss. This is not possible.
Fat distribution in certain areas are determined by heredity and diet. Heredity dictates the location and number of individual fat cells and these are fixed and unchanging after puberty.
The volume removed is measured to assure the safety of the patient. There however are limits and boundaries to the amount of fat that can be removed and areas that can be targeted in a given procedure. This will be carefully explained and judged by Dr A Moolman.
We can only work with what we are presented with, but the results are permanent because the fat cells are literally amputated in the targeted areas.
We will give a personalized quotation to each and every pasient according to their needs. The anaethetist in the procedure room is there to monitor the conscious sedation of the pasient at all times.
